Dorchester Art Project (DAP), a worker-owned cooperative, empowers members with decision-making power, profit-sharing, and alignment with community needs, fostering resilience and collective action. Every worker has a path to ownership, ensuring equitable participation and a focus on local impact. Guided by the Seven Cooperative Principles, Dorchester Art Project supports a sustainable cooperative economy while nurturing the next generation of BIPOC thought leaders by providing spaces for artists to create, monetize, and realize their ideas.

Civic Engagement: Dorchester Art Project encourages all folks who are eligible to vote to do so, they are civically involved in their community and make sure they are not creating barriers to voting day of.
Product or Service Mission: Dorchester Art Project’s mission is to provide affordable studios, performance spaces, and educational resources to artists, creators, and organizers, with a focus on supporting the BIPOC and arts-driven communities.
Supplier Diversity: Dorchester Art Project artists are BIPOC. Last year’s vendors included Rose Projects, Tomo Singh, Rhythm and Wraps, Putinwork, Nur Group, Salma Sirage, Arielle Gray, Jayden Pontes, Thrill Management Service, and more.
