Live Like A Local Tours Boston joins Ujima Good Business Alliance

Live Like A Local Tours Boston (LLAL) is a tour where people can explore Boston from a passionate local's perspective, guiding visitors and residents alike through hidden gems to explore the food, history, and culture of Roxbury, Dorchester, and Jamaica Plain. We are excited by their acceptance of our invitation to join the UGBA.


Joining the Alliance is a process that involves compliance with our 36 Good Business Standards. We see Live Like A Local do exceptionally well in the areas of

  • Supplier Diversity: Live Like A Local's goal is to find creative ways to support local businesses and circulate dollars within communties of color in the Boston area.

  • Product and Service Mission: Live Like A Local would like to employ young people to conduct tours, giving them the opportunity to learn about the food, history, and culture of the communities they live in and around.

  • Civic Engagement: Live Like A Local encourages clients like Harvard School of Public Health, Northeastern and more give back to local businesses and engage the community whether they take a tour or not. They also promote local artists.

On the occasion of joining the UGBA, Knight said, "Joining the UGBA allows me to connect with like-minded individuals who understand the importance of intentionally supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion across all mediums of your business. LLAL is designed to use tourism to give back and circulate dollars within communities of color. The UGBA is an excellent way for me to create new partnerships with other local businesses to accomplish that goal collectively."
